Think Open Space – Shop Windows
Lately everyone is talking about open space but what does it really mean when it comes to optical interior? In short – it means declutter and highlight what is important. Here we'll talk about opening up your optical windows.

The most common mistake optometrists make is overcrowding windows with too much eyewear, stands and POS material – to the point where nothing really stands out. You have a new brand? - sorry, I missed it because it was covered up by the vase that you've put as decoration. We know you want to show all your frames, but remember - less is more. Frames that are selling already don't need that much space in your windows. Highlight special collections, new brands or even add a few classics from an older collection that doesn't sell much.

Decide what you want to accomplish with your window displays: is it to announce sales or promote a new brand. Maybe you need to promote & differentiate your brand/optical with something eye-catchy? When you've decided, it will be easier to design it.
Don't use too many different displays – decide on three, maximum. You want to create a unified attractive window area, not a mess. It should always be simple & clear enough for people to see what's going on inside your optical. You do want them to come inside, right?

Displays today are available in different colors, textures and shapes. Choose the ones that go well with your overall interior. Make them promote your brand!
Add advertising, but don't overcrowd it. Advertising that promotes your newest collection can automatically become the focal point of your window. What is a focal point? It is the first thing your eyes notice, the thing that dominates the optical interior.

Make your window visible throughout day and night by installing lighting. We suggest long lasting LED lighting. If you can use colored lighting –all the better! Turn your optical window into a light-show through the night.
In the end, add a personal touch. How? Be creative!
Think of yourself as a patient – what would attract you?
